Golden Temple & Monastries

Duration : 14 Days / 12 Nights
Destination : Delhi - Amritsar -Dharamshala - Taragarh - Paragpur - Shimla - Delhi

This tour takes you through the heritage of India as you witness its diverse cultures - the impact of the legacies of a medley of invaders. India’s capital, Delhi, tells the story of the Mughal and British dynasty through its ancient architecture. Flip through the pages of history as you visit forts, palaces, mosques, temples and other magnificent buildings during this journey. Experience the charm of old Delhi with a rickshaw ride through its narrow streets and hidden gullies.

We then travel to the North, to seek blessings at The Golden Temple in Amritsar. This egalitarian place of worship symbolizes harmony through a unique blend of Islamic and Hindu architecture. Plated in pure gold, this sight is a real treasure!

From Sikhism in Punjab, we journey to discover the most powerful cradle of Buddhism, the residence of His Holiness - The Dalai Lama - in McLeodganj. A number of Buddhist monasteries are perched on the hills in McLeodganj and Taragarh. The beauty of the surrounding landscape is exemplified with the tea plantations of this region.

We move on to discover “Queen of the Hills”, and former summer capital of British India, Shimla. The city is a chapter in British architecture with its Churches and ancient buildings.
